Design Awards were presented to companies   at the black tie opening premiere to the Region III Conference in Dallas, Texas, on February 15, 2002.  Honorees attended a reception prior to the Awards Dinner with full decor enhancing this year's theme "Capture the Magic: Water in Motion." More than 200 individuals recognized the accomplishments of 21 companies and 12 individuals.  The evening's theme, Experience the Art of Astonishment, reflected the quality of the competition.  A 20% increase in submissions created an exciting backdrop and presented a difficult task for the panel of judges choosing the award winners from over 600 entries.  Individuals receiving awards included Lynn Forrest, who received the "Person of the Year" award, which was given in recognition of his outstanding service to the Greater Houston Chapter of NSPI.  Aqua Classic Pools & Spas was honored to receive a Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for design and construction of three residential pools.

Madison, Wis - April 1, 2001 - Aqua Classic Pools & Spas, Inc. has been selected as one of the top 100 businesses in the spa and pool industry, according to the AQUA 100 list published in the April issue of AQUA, the business magazine for spa and pool professionals.

This is the 12th year AQUA has used the AQUA 100 program to recognize excellence in spa and pool construction, retail and service.

Being named to the AQUA 100 is one of the highest honors a spa or pool company can receive.  A distinguished panel of industry judges were asked to critique each company on its performance in five key areas:   customer service, product knowledge, store design, quality craftsmanship and advertising/ promotion.

"It was a lengthy process to narrow the list to only 100 companies," said Alan Sanderfoot, editor and associate publisher of AQUA.  "But the ones who made the list truly represent the best businesses in the industry."

This year's 100 hail from 33 states and Canada.  They range from single-store, family operations  to multimillion-dollar chains.
