Aqua Classic Pools & Spas won three awards of excellence during the 2009 Association of Pool & Spa Professionals’ Region III Design Awards ceremony held on Friday, February 27 at the Galveston Convention Center in Galveston, Texas.  The Clute based company received a Bronze Award in the Specialty Pool Categories for Technical/Engineering Achievement for a pool built in West Columbia. Also an Award of Merit in the category of Residential Concrete Pools was given for a pool constructed in Bay City and a Lake Jackson pool earned the Aqua Classic team a Bronze award in the category of Residential Concrete Pools. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Forrest and Monika Forrest attended the annual gala event. Michael Miller, president of the Houston Chapter of Region III of the APSP, made the evenings presentations, awarding Lynn Forrest the plaques earned for Aqua Classic.

The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) is the world’s largest international trade association representing the swimming pool, spa, hot tub and recreational water industries with a mission to enhance the business success of members. The over 4,500 member companies of the APSP include manufacturers, distributors, manufacturer’s agents, designers, builders, installers, retailers, and service professionals. APSP members adhere to a strict code of business ethics and share a commitment to public health and safety in the use of pools, spas, and hot tubs.

The APSP Region III Design Awards recognizes and rewards installations of pools and spas which showcase the most beautiful and creative work in the region. Region III consists of eight states, which are Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. Out of the hundreds of entries received in the 2009 competition, only 74 entries were selected as award recipients.
